The Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing and what a better time for the Sudbury Theatre Centre and YES Theatre to come together on a hockey story.

Hockey Dreams is based on the novel of the same name by Canadian Author, David Adams Richards, which tells the story of two young boys in the 1960’s who want to play in the NHL but one’s body won’t cooperate, the other, doesn’t have the money.

Artistic Director Caleb Marshall, who also plays seven characters says it’s a perfect Northern Story.

Marshall says the story takes you back to a simple time.

Hockey Dreams is now playing at the STC and will run until May 7th.
