Gas prices at some Sudbury stations are now at 1.28 per litre, up 16 cents since Tuesday.

In Timmins, residents saw a nine cent increase in matter of hours to over a 1.31 a litre.

Experts warned that prices would rise a couple cents because of trouble in Texas but this is a bit more than a few cents.

Hurricane Harvey is said to be at fault, as the storm forced many refineries to shut down, it’s said prices could go even higher as the storm continues to cause flooding.
