Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault did not have to take the stand for a second day of testimony.

As he waited outside the courtroom the crown tried to prove to the courts there was inconsistency in his statement, but the judge did not think so and did not allow the prosecution to continue on questions of commitments that were made to him by Pat Sorbara.

The Judge told the crown that all Thibeault said was he was told staff jobs were doable, but what does doable mean?

With that the Crown had no further questions and Thibeault’s time on the stand was done.

Thibeault says he isn’t sure about public opinion of him, but as mentioned, wanted to be open and transparent by testifying.

Thibeault was not facing any charges in the trial and maintained he did not accept anything considered to be a bribe to switch from federal NDP’s to provincial Liberals.

Thibeault was the last of 16 witnesses called by the Crown.
