The province has begun naming cities where pot shops will open up next summer and Sudbury is on the list.

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario, which will run the shops through a subsidiary, says that the stores will open by July of 2018.

The L-C-B-O says they will meet with the municipalities to determine where the stores will be located.

The 14 cities include Sudbury, Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, Kingston, Kitchener, London, Mississauga, Ottawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Vaughan and Windsor.
