UPDATE

OPP are confirming it was an SUV and Tractor Trailer that collided on Highway 69 yesterday in Shawanaga First Nation Territory.

Investigation has revealed the northbound SUV crossed the centre line into the path of a transport.

Upon impact the SUV caught fire and all the occupants of the SUV have been confirmed dead, although police are still determining how many people were in the vehicle.

The crash took place just south of the Shawanaga River Bridge and Highway 69 was closed for approximately eight hours.

OPP continue to investigate after a multiple fatal collision on Highway 69 yesterday.

The crash involved a tractor trailer and passenger vehicle around 4 pm in Shawanaga Township between Pointe Au Baril and Parry Sound.

Officers have not released details about the deceased.

The Highway was closed for about seven hours.
