Nickel Belt’s M-P is hoping the announcement about a study looking into a possible all-season road to service the Ring Of Fire areas is a step in the right direction.

Claude Gravelle says the study looks similar to one done in 1999, but he says anytime both the federal and provincial governments work together it’s a positive step.

Gravelle says area First Nations also have to be in involved in any talks moving forward.

The Federal and Provincial governments have announced that the $785,000 study will look into how to connect First Nation communities with existing roads.
