There is a bit more relief for the students affected by the closure of Everest College.

The Ontario government has made available $7.6-million to ensure students can finish their training at another school without having to pay more tuition.

This is in addition to the $3-million provided through the Training Completion Assurance Fund, earmarked specifically for Everest students.

The private career college operated 14 sites in Ontario, including Sudbury, until Feb 19th when the province suspended campus activities and Everest filed for bankruptcy.
