Provincial police say three bodies have been found at the site of a small plane crash south of Sudbury.

The plane was reported missing yesterday afternoon and was located near the French and Pickerel rivers.

Officials with the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre based at C-F-B Trenton previously said they had found debris from the Piper aircraft near the Sudbury Airport this morning.

O-P-P say they were advised just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday that an aircraft with a pilot and two passengers on board was having engine problems and needed to land.

But radio contact was lost while the plane was west of Key River near the French River Provincial Park.

The Transportation Safety Board says it is deploying a team of investigators to the site.
