Greater Sudbury Police are warning people about firearms in public places.

This comes after an incident in Capreol Sunday afternoon when a man was seen walking down the street with what appeared to be a firearm.

Further investigation found it to be a pellet gun.

Police say seeing someone with a firearm -even if it is a pellet gun- is unsettling for the general public and these types of weapons complaints will be taken seriously.
