The director of Cambrian’s Wabnode Centre for Aboriginal services picked up a national award for the school in Quebec City this week.

Rick Ouellet  says the Colleges and Institutes Canada Silver award is presented for indigenous education excellence.

750 students enrolled at the school during this past school year were either band sponsored or identified themselves as indigenous learners.

Cambrian President Bill Best says their success in supporting native learning is as a result of committed staff, faculty and alumni.
