Bishop Alexander Carter High School in Hanmer is taking the issue of concussions seriously.

The school is the first in Northern Ontario to purchase a Dynavision D2…a machine that helps with training by measuring reaction time.

Athletic Director, J-G Larocque says it keeps them in line with a new bill passed by the Ontario government that will set guidelines to ensure young athletes are taken out of a game in case of a suspected concussion.

Larocque says they aren’t keeping this technology to themselves…they hope other teams and organizations will make use of the machine.
