Nickel Belt’s M-P is keeping busy as federal politicians get set for their summer break.

Marc Serre was recently appointed to the government’s Indigenous Caucus…one of nine members making it the largest in Canadian government history.

The goal of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit members is to educate and initiate dialogue with all members of Parliament regarding indigenous issues.

Meantime….Serre was in Washington, D.C. earlier this week representing Canada at the 55th annual Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group Meeting.

Topics of discussion included shared economic cooperation and prosperity, border facilitation and security and bilateral trade, energy and water issues.
