Espanola Police and OPP have arrested a 16-year old male from Southern Ontario who allegedly made bomb threats to Espanola High School and Chapleau Public School.

Police say last week both schools received threats by telephone and over the weekend officers investigated but found no suspicious items.

Three schools and a day care in Espanola were closed as a precaution.

The 16-year old can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act but does now face 15 charges including four counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.
