The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office and police are looking into the cause of a deadly fire in the city’s West End last night.

The body of a 60-year old female was removed by firefighters while they battled a blaze in a bungalow on Victoria street.

Efforts to resuscitate the female were unsuccessful.

Two fire stations were called just before midnight at the home that incurred 50-thousand dollars in smoke damage.

Sudbury Police say there’s no indications of foul play at this time.

The name will not be released until next of kin is notified.
