The re-selling of a couple of de-commissioned Metro Toronto police badges has a local connection.

The deputy chief and auxiliary badge were both being sold on eBay by a seller named northernboy50 from Sudbury.

The ad was taken down after police officials in Toronto started their investigation yesterday.

Police spokesman Mark Pugash say impersonating an officer is a serious crime and that when police retire they are supposed to turn in their badges.

An adult female was arrested by Greater Sudbury Police last night after they received phone calls from the public about an erratic driver.

A vehicle was driven off the road on the Kingsway just past Moonlight avenue around 6:00.

The individual was found to be three times over the legal limit and charges are pending.
