It’s going to be in the minus 20’s tomorrow, but clear and sunny making it a perfect day to hop in Ramsey Lake for the annual Polar Plunge.

The Polar Plunge is held in communities across Ontario, raising money for athletes and families of Special Olympics Ontario.

Joanne Pendrak says there’s a number of first timers and people who keep coming back.

The goal is to raise $20,000, and currently they’re around 10,000

The event runs from 12 to 2 pm at the Ramsey Lake Boat Launch.

The annual Trek For Cancer goes this Sunday at Kivi Park, raising money for the Northern Cancer Foundation.

But the Foundation announced today that all donations brought in will be matched by the Clifford and Lily Fielding Foundation.

Last year $10,000 was raised.

Registration is $35 beginning at 9 am on Sunday.
