Sudbury Police have arrested a 29-year old for allegedly stealing seven of the 20 missing poppy donation boxes.

Since November 4th local businesses and the Royal Canadian Legion branch 76 have reported the theft of 20 poppy boxes and an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers used video surveillance and arrested 29-year old Michael Petryna on Thursday charging him with seven counts of theft under five thousand dollars.

The break enter and robbery unit has identified a second man responsible for two other poppy box thefts and officers are currently searching for him.
