Woo Hoo! It’s the unofficial kick off to summer…the May 2-4 Weekend! We are actually celebrating Queen Victoria’ 199 Birthday, and many of us have a holiday Monday. Most stores are closed including the LCBO and Beer Store. Banks are not open either.
The weather’s not looking too bad so make sure you grab with guitar and head outside for your camp fire party this weekend…staring up at the stars, maybe a few fireworks…ah summer!

2018 Victoria Day Municipal Service Schedule

The municipal service schedule for Victoria Day on Monday, May 21 is as follows:
• Tom Davies Square will be closed.
• Citizen Service Centres and Libraries will be closed.
• Garbage, recycling and green cart collection are unaffected by the holiday.
• Landfills will be closed.
• The Recycling Centre will be open.
• Greater Sudbury Transit routes will follow the Sunday and holiday service schedules.
• Greater Sudbury pools and fitness facilities will be closed.
• The Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter will be closed to the public.
Please note that City social media accounts are not monitored regularly during weekends and statutory holidays.
