Imagine being told that your son or daughter has cancer and the treatment will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars – what would you do?

One of our co-workers sons received some horrific news back in September and now he needs our help. You already know that Sudbury ALWAYS helps out when there’s a need so here is your chance to step up. Mario Diotte is just 28 and he was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar Carcinoma which is only diagnosed 200 times a year globally (1 in 58-million people).

Since the condition is so rare, Mario needs treatment with a specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Recently OHIP has denied him coverage because it is classified as Clinical Trial —which means he will have to pay for not only for his travel and accommodations but his medical bills on top of that which are more than $ 100-thousand dollars for one round of treatment.
There’s a Go Fund Me Page in place  Just search Marathon for Mario
