The latest media release from HSN has details on dropping off personal items for patients.

As part of efforts to maintain social distancing and reduce the risk of spreading any germs to our patients and staff, only essential or personal and medical belongings can be dropped off for patients at the Ramsey Lake Health Centre until further notice. The following belongings may be dropped off at the main entrance of the RLHC: hearing aids; dentures; medical devices (i.e. braces); clothing for patients being discharged; clothing for patients on the rehab unit; and home medication. Other items that are not essential will not be accepted. This includes food and baked goods.

There is a process in place to drop off these belongings:

o At reception, the visitor will hand sanitize and transfer items to clear plastic bags, available at the greeter’s desk.

o The visitor will be responsible for placing items in the bag, labelling the bag with the patient’s name and location, and signing a waiver.

o HSN staff will then make necessary arrangements to have the belongings brought to the patient.
