Over the course of 2 shows last year, Metallica reunited with the San Francisco Symphony. Fast forward to today and  Metallica has announced when you can have their sequel live album dubbed S&M2 at home.

 

Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony came together once again last year in October to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their original 1999 live album S&M, as well as to celebrate the opening of the Chase Center, which is the new home of NBA team the Golden State Warriors.

 

 

The 3 hour concert was split up into 2 parts, and conducted by Edwin Outwater with a special guest appearance made by Michael Tilson Thomas – he conducted the 1999 S&M live album. Watch the trailer below:

 

 

Metallica has also dropped 2 songs ahead of the August 28th S&M2 live album release which you can listen to below as well: ‘All Within My Hands ‘and ‘Nothing Else Matters.’
