Halloween is a holiday that everyone celebrates, even rock stars! Here are some of the ghost stories that they have shared over the years:

1) Nirvana – Kurt Cobain’s Ghost

Some fans of Nirvana say they can feel Cobain’s presence at a bench in Viretta Park across from his Seattle home. Some have even claimed to have seen Cobain’s spirit sitting on the same bench.

2) Motley Crue – The haunting of Nikki Sixx

In their autobiography ‘The Dirt’, A&R man Tom Zutaut – who originally signed the band – shared this spooky encounter that happened in Sixx’s apartment: “I swear to God I saw this with my own eyes, a knife and a fork rose off the table and stuck into the ceiling just above where I was sitting. I looked at Nikki and freaked out. There is no more, ‘Shout with the Devil.’ If you keep shouting with the devil, you’re going to get killed. You can believe what you want, but I truly believe that Nikki had unknowingly tapped into something evil, something more dangerous than he could control that was on the verge of seriously hurting him.”

3) Black Sabbath – Geezer Butler takes a step back

The Black Sabbath bassist dabbled in Satanism for a short period of time, but quickly gave it up after this encounter, “Ozzy gave me this 16th Century book about magic that he’d stolen from somewhere. I put it in the airing cupboard because I wasn’t sure about it. Later that night, I woke up and saw this black shadow at the end of the bed. It was a horrible presence that frightened the life out of me! I ran to the airing cupboard to throw the book out, but the book had disappeared. After that I gave up all that stuff. It scared me shitless!”. Black Sabbath is no stranger to the occult though.

4) Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Houdini Mansion

A popular recording spot for a lot of musicians, the Houdini Mansion in LA is also a hot spot for paranormal activity as well apparently. While recording their album Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Chad Smith claimed to feel a presence at the mansion and refused to stay there, while Flea said he saw a woman dressed in black, and guitarist John Frusciante…well…he thought they were friendly enough to have one (or more?) off the wrist in front of apparently.

HAPPY HALLOWEN!
